2021: Family First

Thankfully, 2020 is in our rearview mirror, and we can finally turn the page on it and welcome in 2021.

One of the good things about 2020 is that we got to spend a lot of quality time with our families, and I think that we were reminded about how important family is.

I have desperately missed seeing and spending time with my grandkids, but we have made it work. I have always been there for birthdays, but this year it was better to celebrate by Zoom.

Here's to moving forward in 2021 while not forgetting how important spending time with our families is.

Happy Holidays!

Making Time For Family

Where does the time go? I was looking through some of my older posts, and saw where I posted when my fifth grandchild Catherine was born. A few weeks ago I went to Florida for her fourth birthday - how is this possible?

There's nothing I love more than spending time with my kids and grandkids, and watching my kids be parents. It's time that I need to take advantage of more, and to appreciate every moment.

Fathers Day Gift Ideas

Fathers Day is just around the corner, and we just got back from the National Hardware Show where there were so many great ideas, we don't even know where to start! After talking to a lot of the vendors as to where to purchase their products, almost all of them suggested buying on Amazon. It's quick and easy, and with Amazon Prime most products are delivered to your door in 2 days with no shipping charges! If your Dad doesn't already have Amazon Prime that might be the perfect gift!

Family Style in Oak Cliff, Texas

Oak Cliff, Texas is such a great place to raise a family. There's so much to see and do, and we are only minutes from the cultural and sports experiences that Dallas offers.

We shared on Candy'sDirt.com why we love living in this community so much.

And Baby Makes Five

I can't believe that this Lifestylist® now has 5 grandchildren! It was so fun to get everyone together last weekend. I had hoped to get a great shot with all of them but they had no interest in photos. This is the best we got, but I cherish it.
